2018 Summer Camp
For this summer Probots Ottawa is changing the format of its summer camps. This move is due to requests we have had from past participants for a complete week of robot exploration. We are also limiting the number of camps due to my position as Canadian VEX Robotics Competition Support Manager. Please feel free to contact us for any questions. Note camps are limited to a maximum of 10 students.
VEX IQ for grades 2 to 5. In this camp, students will be introduces to the VEX IQ platform, build some different robot designs, learn ModKit programming language and design a robot to compete in this years VEX IQ competition. Visit our registration page to sign up. Dates Monday, July 9th to Friday, July 13th, 2018. Cost $275.00 + GST.
VEX IQ for grades 6 to 8. In this camps students will do a quick introduction to the VEX IQ platform then start learning some of the advanced features of the sensors and the ModKit programming language. The students, in teams of 2, will collaborate on building a robot that can do both the autonomous and driver skills components of the 2018 - 2019 VEX IQ competition. VEX EDR for for grades 7 to 12. "THIS CLASS IS FULL" In this camp the students will learn about the VEX EDR robot and how to use the building blocks of the system. VEX EDR robots are constructed of steel and aluminium and are larger and more complex. The students in teams of 2 will brainstorm, prototype. design, build and program a robot to compete in the VEX EDR VEX Robotics competition. Cost $350.00 + GST.
